Until a few years ago, I was still working as a nurse and struggled with feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and burned out. I had switched from patient care to entry-level management thinking that it would help but experienced being bullied and having to work in tiny closets or bathrooms as our office space.

After being T-boned by a truck and getting hurt, I questioned how I got to this point. I took some time off to heal from the accident and to figure out how to fix my situation.

I started to listen to tapes, went to workshops, and discovered that through creative and artistic activities I processed my anxiety, emotions, and stress in a favorable way. It opened me up to new methods for solving stress and anxiety. I felt more inspired, energetic, and empowered, which has led me to take the next step and pursue a certificate in Art Therapy.
