Through some subtle and not so subtle experiences I was led to become a counselor working with Veterans, First Responders and their families. I have more than 18 years working with this populations. It is my job to help them help themselves. Creative expression works when words won’t and clients tell us things through their creativity that they could never express verbally. The art becomes the third member of the session and acts as an artifact that can be revisited in later sessions in parallel with current creations. It is an honor and a privilege to work with this population.
