PROFILE

I love people and give lifestyle prescriptions (Connectedness

~Resilience~ Movement~Nutrition) to help others’ activate their

bodies to work at their best! -Everyone Happier and Healthier! I am

very involved in our community. I graduated from Arizona State

University with a Bachelors in Education and Art, and attended

several community colleges and BYU, continuing education. I run

the Exploring Art program (Art therapy too) in my community, am a published

illustrator. I continue to teach in the school district. I coach and run

the Special Olympics Unified Program in the White Mountains of

Arizona and Healthy Athletes. I love and have been teaching for over 20 years. We have

a little ranch, where we offer horse and aquatic therapy, sharing

what has helped our children to have success with their mobility.

I met my husband, Loren Merrill, at Arizona State University, where

we graduated together as Teachers. We have 6 children, 2 of the

older ones, we adopted as teenagers, now adults, one in prison

and excelling. We have 4 biological children still at home, 3 of them

with a Neuro Degenerative disease with Cerebral Palsy, Ataxia,

developmental delays etc. Through research and and lots of

practice we have learned to make function out of disfunction. Living

now in fun and function and not frailty and failure! We work with

several non profit organizations/on the board and participate in

public speaking. A lot of our public speaking is with doctors,

teaching others how to make their bodies work at their best through

healing of body, mind and spirit. I work with Lifevantage and the doctors on the Medical Board, Nutrigenomics, Food as Medicine. Doctors are intrigued because we

have learned to activate my children’s bodies who were severe and failure to thrive, and

we have been able to bring them from immobile to mobile, meaning

our bodies are meant to heal. We just have to give them the nutrients they need and use

the right tools. We learn to do hard things and to overcome. Our

children have not been cured, still on fore arm crutches, but they

are upright, happy and their bodies are being activated and working

at their best.

We love to travel and the kids give motivational speeches. And as

a family we promote health and inclusion!
