Biography | Hi, my name, is Virginia Dupraw I am a Family Nurse Practitioner just starting with Southeaster Primary Care in Perry, GA. In this role, I look after/coordinates/manages a team providing all aspects of care to clients aged 6 months to 99+years. A big believer in patient care and wellbeing. I support Nurses Association and Advanced Nurse Practitioner association and International Nurses Association. I have also participated as a clinical preceptor for Nurse Practitioner Students. I am a qualified Family Nurse Practitioner and currently holds a Doctoral degree from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix Arizona and am ANCC board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I am no stranger to Nursing, I have spent twenty-one years as a Nurse and the last thirteen years as a Nurse Practitioner, providing patient care, understanding, and educations to a multitude of patients and families.
I have spent twenty-one years as a Register Nurse working in a variety of areas including Mother/Baby unit, Labor and Delivery, Admissions and discharge, Physical rehab, and General Surgery and Urology and medical surgical unit. Before joining Southeaster Primary Care, I worked as a nurse practitioner providing care to the occupational community in the form of physical and workers comp injury assessment and treatment. I also worked at Warner Robins Air Force base family practice clinic, I worked for Apple Care Immediate Care in 2013, I worked for 3 years for a diverse range of organizations, including OBGYN, Macon Occupational Medicine and Phoebe Putney Hospital. I am single with a 1 son who is 34years old and currently have two granddaughters Tatum and Cameron, ages 7 and 2. Learning is my passion as well as patient care. I feel that if I learn something new every day the day is not a waste. |
