Megan Mansbridge is an artist and teacher supporting and delivering empowered lessons in schools around social and emotional health and well-being. She has raised and homeschooled three amazing humans who have taught her all of her most important lessons in life. She has trained in the practices of participatory leadership (Art of Hosting) and collaborative decision-making practises (intentional community/consensus decision-making). She is passionate about holding safe space to invite in the unique wisdom and voice of each individual she has had the privilege to work and learn with. Megan believes that each of us has a right and responsibility to attune as harmoniously as possible with our own inner light and knowing…..our own spirits and souls. It has been her practise and experience throughout her life, from childhood to the present, that art and creative expression is a monumentally important tool to help us stay in good relationship with our own souls and thus lead healthier, happier and more empowered lives as a result. Megan has studied Logotherapy (Viktor Frankl), Art of Hosting (Participatory Leadership), Attachment Parenting (Gordon Neufeld), Non-Violent Communication (Marshall Rosenberg) to name a few of the practises she has found to be supportive of this on-going life learning. Megan is currently working in her local school community delivering programs designed to connect children with their own natural empathic knowing (Roots of Empathy) and also delivers her own curriculum to schools in her community centred around emotional and social health and well-being. She is very excited to embark on this learning to expand her toolkit to enable her to provide support to children and teens in her community to help them develop the skills and self-connection to be able to navigate and bring their own unique lights to this ever-complex and changing world that we live in.
