Biography |
I graduated from ONU with a BA in Biology and minor in Chem and Psyc in 2003. I married my college sweetheart 2 weeks later and…decided that…
I wanted to be able to stay home and raise my children, so I did not to go on to grad school for natural medicine or chiropractic care. I love skin care and making things beautiful, so I got a certificate in Esthetics in 2006.
When our first son arrived my passion for natural medicine, herbs, and nutrition came to life. I used all I had learned in college to research and find alternative treatments to all the common ailments young children will throw at you. I began struggling with my own health issues after our third son arrived on the scene. I homeschooled our boys for 4 years and then realized, I can only teach all subjects and still make them fun through first grade. After that, making science fun was the best I could do.
I did however find myself seeing so many skin issues and conditions connected to internal problems within the body. I became engrossed with solving the puzzle or finding the root cause to symptoms and found my passion for functional medicine. As I continued to research and have my own health failures, it became very evident that the body is a whole machine that is designed to function as such, a whole. I contacted Pam Wingert, The Health Profiler, at Kankakee Natural Foods and she blew my mind with her knowledge of holistic wellness. She has an amazing talent and has helped me continue my wellness journey where several other doctors, specialists, and even functional doctors have met a stale mate.
Needless to say I am ready to take the next step in pursuing my passion for Holistic Wellness. So here I am, ready to learn more and help people do more than just age beautifully, I want to help them thrive beautifully and holistically.
