Biography

I’m a rare disease warrior and who has always sought alternative medicines and remedies when my body just didn’t seem right prior to ever discovering how bad it truly is. I’ve always had a driving force to be as close to Mother Nature and accept her gifts to us. I find it ironic my passion is the same of what was the reason behind my ancestor being hanged in Salem for witchcraft. It only took 630yrs for Naturopathy to be accepted….

The conditions I have cause every part of my body to fail in some way and besides being a rare disease warrior, I consciously fight my body each day while nurturing it. Air, dirt, sun, chemicals and almost ALL foods cause my body to go into anaphylaxis and/or anaphylactic shock. Food/plant identification and understanding of chemical components and compounds is the most crucial part of me staying alive and healthy. Having Autism gives me a natural desire to always look for the final answer and not to accept what is well enough.

We recently purchased property loaded with native plants with medicinal properties. and I mean LOADS and my excitement sometimes scares my husband. I’ve identified over 60 plants with medicinal properties so far this year and we still have 5mos left for some to age out and others to pop up and say hello. When I research my finds, my mind is blown when discovering how immensely powerful it is to naturally cure an ailment from a plant at my feet. The answers are always at my feet whether I reach up or down for a picking plucking. I have a medical background of Xray Technician/Medical Assistant, CPR Trainer and overall mind of curiosity and I don’t let a bit of it go to waste. Each day I forage and use my gifts from the ground to create oils, tinctures, teas, and elixirs.

I have Hereditary alpha-Tryptasemia Syndrome and I have the rarest combination of alleles in one chromosome. I have 3 alpha alleles. I joke and say I got the third one from the milkman. ahahah. This condition is responsible for all of my conditions of Myasthenia Gravis, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Dysautonomia, POTS w/Bradycardia, bilateral atrial enlargement, aortic aneurysm in ascending aorta, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and I’ve had 5 strokes so far because of a rare loop in my carotid. Life is fun. My life is…..well, hard for drs because none have been able to identify my conditions until I brought them to their attention because they didn’t know it existed. And the ER- try telling an ER doc how to treat you when their ego is in the way. I try to stay out of the hospital as much as I can and treating myself with the ‘weeds’ growing in my yard has done a great job.
