Education: Premedical independent bachelor of arts, at University of California, Santa Cruz, California. The Creative Arts in Therapy. Senior thesis based on the effects that art has on the behavior of preschool-age children. Investigation and focus of studies, underscore psycho-biological behavioral mapping and interactions with other (people) in their immediate interactive milieu, as a baseline in behavior. Then, using a randomized method, chose 15 children to participate in art for 20 minutes a day for 2-3 months. Evaluated behavior before and after structured art sessions, and compared interactions based on a behavior assessment tool created in the Behavioral Science department at U.C. Davis.
Published project as UCSC project/thesis.
Thirty years (+) hospice nursing, culminating in work with the California Nursing Board and the Attorney General’s office, as an expert witness.
Returning to art, as a bereavement tool, now that my family is grown and successfully living their lives.
