I have been in western medicine since 1995
I was a registered nurse for 17 years
began medical school in 2007
began internal medicine residency in 2011
I completed IM residency in 2014 and began working in private practice/hospital based medicine
over the years I have always thought there was a better way to treat patients and prevent our current epidemics of illness in the US. I lost my confidence in western medicine many years ago but had no idea what to do, where to start to find a better way to practice medicine-while doing a better job and keeping my wits about me. I started on a natural/integrative/functional/holistic journey around 2018-2019. I recently quit my job in corporate medicine( long story) and opened up integrative practice in 10/2024 with more freedom to provide my patients with an alternative approach- now I am trying to educate myself more with a naturopathic flair.
