Biography |
I was born in Madagascar and now residing in Gaithersburg Maryland, I have enjoyed drawing from a young age.
When I was a student at the University of Antananarivo, I was a cartoonist and illustrator for a student magazine and a designer in an association working on environmental education for primary and secondary schools students.
A STEM teacher by profession, I began to paint only in 2013. In 2016, I took courses in color theory, art of sketching and portraiture at Montgomery College, Maryland. Following that, I took online courses in the New Masters Academy platform and I have learned from books and instructional videos to acquire new techniques and tips.
I like to paint to relax. For me, painting is a means of developing patience, sharing inner peace, and communicating my message to others.
I focus on realism while seeking, as much as possible, the elements that are important to me in my works, namely light, atmosphere, emotions as well as the details of the places I paint. This challenge is met with each new painting I produce.
