Hatti Miller is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds licensure in North Carolina and Indiana. Hatti has been practicing social work for 20 years and supported her military family through many deployments and relocations. She is certified in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Acute-Trauma Incident Processing, Baby Massage, Talk with your Baby, Reproductive Grief and Loss, and is a Trauma Informed Care Professional. Hatti teaches parenting classes and has worked to support mothers expecting and postpartum for over 7 years. She works with children and has taught social emotional learning skills for 15 years. She holds a Masters in Social Work, a BS in Sociology with a minor in Art.
Prior to Cape Fear Psychological Services, Hatti worked for Beacon Health Service’s NICU, Special Obstrenics Unit, Labor and Delivery, and Mother/Baby Unit as the onsite mental health therapist.
Hatti uses a broad-based approach with a biopsychosocial perspective. She works with modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Attachment Therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy, CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems, and Polyvagal Somatic Therapies.
She enjoys hanging out with her husband and three young boys, taking care of her pets, gardening, and playing tennis. She is always in awe of the strength and perseverance of individuals and believes it is a privilege to hold space for a client’s experiences.
