Hi everyone,

I’m Heather. A little about my background. I have a background in art and fashion (level2 art, Level 3 art, design and fashion, Level 4 fashion and textiles) for my level 4 final piece i chose to do art therapy using crochet as the medium, this opened up my eyes to its possibilities and it itself has helped me through the years with depression that medication could not help with. . I have also got certificates in child care Lv2, understanding children’s and young adults mental health Level2 plus level 2 in counselling skills.

I love to create art and use my hands, the feeling of creating something is amazing. I’ve always wanted to combine my love of art with the wanting to help people so these fit me. I do use a wheel chair and walking aids but its not stopping me trying to go for it. I’m a wife and a mother to a child with autism. Everything I’ve learnt helps our family. I’m hoping to learn more for the future and aid others.
