Suffolk/Essex based, Mercedes Sanchez (Bahia Blanca, 1976) is a “quiet” Argentine-Italian artist, photographer, poet, editor & proofreader, HE tutor (Language and Linguistics / English and academic skills), and mental health first aider (MHFA England).

Experimenting with different materials and techniques, she explores the effects of anxiety, depression and grief on the human experience by creating objects and images (textile art, digital manipulation of drawings and photographs, asemic writing) that interrogate anguish, emptiness, absence, stillness and silence.
