Hello! I was born and raised in Michigan where I still reside with my husband. I am the mother of three adult children and step-mother to four more!  I am also grandmother of 11 with one more on the way and we don’t think they are finished yet! I love this enormous and prolific family and I am dubbed the “Matriarch” by my awesome step-sons and spouses. With that, comes much (often self-inflicted) responsibility. I am always concerned about everyone’s health and well-being and I want to learn all I can to offset the damage we have all incurred through too much “poison” in our environment, our food and our medications.

I “retired” aka “resigned” from my teaching position (of over 25 years at CC – 33 years total) due to new Admin who, for who knows whatever reason, put a Bullseye on my back.  I wont go into that at this time.  Because of my early “retirement” and the need to continue working, I started my own catering company. It was awesome!   It was the most physically demanding thing I have ever done but I loved it immensely!  Then came covid, rotator cuff surgery and spinal fusion surgery – the catering was put on indefinite hold. Hubby retired, we bought a used RV and hit the road on a trip we dubbed ” the grandbaby tour”.  Three of the seven kids live out of state. So, here we are.

In addition to my love of people and food plus my nurturing nature, I also love to garden.  In the past couple of years I became almost obsessed with growing food and herbs that I could use to help heal my family. I have been reading, listening and watching whatever I can from so many different sources on so many different holistic and natural remedies, so naturally, I was very excited to hear about this course.  There is so much to learn and I really cannot wait to get started!
