My name is  Ruta. I am an art teacher working in a special school with autistic children. Art has woven itself into the fabric of my daily life; without it, I can hardly picture the different paths my life could have taken and where I might have found myself today. It’s not just a passion—it’s a guiding force that shapes my journey. Working with pupils of autistic spectrum of different ages and abilities with different learning abilities allowed me to use my creative talents that implement lessons in the classroom environments that meet the student’s emotional, behavior, intellectual, social and creative needs. While working in special schools, I observed that students’ emotional behaviours transformed, enabling them to express their thoughts and feelings more effectively and improve their concentration. Through my experiences, I gained valuable insights into my character. I learned how to manage my emotions better, boosting a sense of patience and tolerance towards others. This journey has helped me understand the importance of empathy, helping me to engage more meaningfully with those around me.
