As a mother, wife, and entrepreneur, I recognize the hurdles of maintaining a healthy lifestyle in our fast-paced society, which is saturated with quick meals, with processed and fast-food choices. My journey toward health has been a lifelong endeavor and despite my believing I led a healthy lifestyle, a cancer diagnosis in 2015 was a sobering wakeup call that health is more than just eating your vegetables and exercising a couple times a week.

Through enrollment in this course, I want to learn and understand practical uses of natural alternatives. I believe pharmaceuticals are often overprescribed and the best way to avoid them is to not need them in the first place. By embracing healthy habits including a healthy diet, regular physical activity, and broadening my understanding of natural remedies, I am committed to helping others become better informed about healthy options and to take action to live a healthier life.
