Biography

Biography

Hello there! My name is Jeana, but it’s pronounced Gina. I have been happily married to my husband since 2010 and together we are proud parents to four children, whose ages range from 4 to 25. My journey in the medical field began when I graduated as a Surgical Technician from North Central Texas College in 2008. In 2020, I earned an Associates degree with a focus on Business and Human Resources from Columbia Southern University.

During my 14-year career in surgery, I have held various roles such as certified surgical technician, anesthesia technician, surgical billing specialist, materials manager, materials coordinator, and surgical implant coordinator. Alongside my professional accomplishments, I have faced personal health challenges, including being diagnosed with PCOS and endometriosis at the young age of 17.

My struggles continued into adulthood, as I dealt with infertility issues even after numerous fertility treatments, which culminated in a heartbreaking failed IVF and the loss of a baby boy. In May 2019, I underwent a total hysterectomy, followed by a sleeve gastrectomy in June 2020, resulting in a significant weight loss of over 100 pounds. Despite these procedures, I experienced severe illness over the next few years, leading me to explore functional medicine and holistic remedies.

Through this holistic approach, I discovered underlying issues such as hormone dysfunction, an unknown MTHFR gene mutation, and severe food allergies. By incorporating functional medicine practices, I have experienced complete healing for both myself and my family. This transformative journey has inspired me to pursue certification as a naturopath and functional nutritionist, with the goal of not only benefiting my own family but also our wider community.

I am excited about the opportunity to utilize the gifts that the Lord has bestowed upon me to support foster children and contribute to healing generations affected by trauma and root cause diseases.
