My biography
Life began with its challenges. My mother suffered from postpartum psychosis, and I was moved to artificial feeding early on (Artificial Intelligence might have been better!). During this tender age, I spent some time in a Baby House, where I was introduced to pea soup at just three months old. Freud might have had a lot to say about this phase!
Moving into the anal stage of my psychological development, things improved. I mastered potty training quickly and was always clean. Growing up in Ukraine in the last century, there were no disposable diapers – hooray for resourcefulness! I proudly think of myself as a “good girl” for navigating this stage with ease.
At the phallic stage, life continued smoothly – according to Freud, everything was on track. This was a time of discovery, filled with numerous hobbies and interests: sports, swimming, and Drama School. I even dreamed of becoming an actress. But alas, that dream materializes only as I become an Activities Coordinator in Care Home.
As I grew older, I faced some challenges – both physical and mental. My self-esteem plummeted, and I felt lost for a time. But that’s a story for a case study, not a biography!
Now, I’m studying mental health and finding it fascinating. It’s a journey of growth and learning, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to explore this field.
