Biography |
I have a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Auburn University and have taught kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades in both Alabama and Georgia. Currently, I am the art teacher at Thomasville Christian School in Thomasville, GA. We are a small school with students age 3 – 7th grade. I am the mother of boys who both attend the University of Georgia. I have always loved art but have never formally trained. I got back into painting after losing my youngest son when he was 8. I found that art helped to soothe me and keep my mind focused on positive things. I love to use bright colors in my paintings because bright, fun colors lift the spirit. Having first hand experience with trauma, I understand how art can help the healing process and I would love to use my love of art to help others.
