| Biography |
I am an experienced primary teacher with over 20 years of classroom teaching and six years of tutoring experience. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about supporting learners of all ages to grow in confidence, creativity, and self-expression.As an art specialist with a degree in art, creativity sits at the heart of everything I do. I enjoy exploring many different forms of art and believe that everyone has the ability to create when given the encouragement and tools to do so. My work has involved guiding both children and adults in developing artistic skills, from the very basics through to more advanced techniques. I have worked with learners as young as four years old through to adults, helping them not only improve their artistic ability but also build confidence in themselves.Outside of teaching, I draw much of my inspiration from the natural world. I love spending time outdoors, walking with my dog in the countryside and capturing moments through photography. Many of these photographs become starting points for new artwork and creative exploration.I am particularly interested in the ways art can support wellbeing, and I look forward to continuing to develop my experience in using art in a more therapeutic way. Supporting others to discover creativity as a form of expression, confidence building, and personal growth is something I find deeply rewarding
