I am coming up to 40 years old and struggling to find work in my field of study at university. I am an Environmental Science and Engineering master’s graduate. I am pivoting into Naturopathy as I have a passion to help people, and given my background, I feel like this would be a wonderful way to do so. I live in the forest of Northern Ontario, Canada, and am extremely remote. I have a Mi’kmaq, indigenous background through my grandfather, and feel a great way to honor him and my family is to become a healer. I am also studying herbalism alongside Naturopathy in order to be able to open my own practise and provide treatment to my patients in a well-educated way that will promote their long-term health journey.
