Brenda Sylvester is a compassionate and dedicated administrative professional with more than 20 years of experience at West Virginia University. Throughout her career, she has supported students, faculty, and staff with professionalism, empathy, and strong organizational expertise.

Brenda most recently served as an Administrative Associate in the College of Creative Arts and Dance, where she coordinated events, managed communications and scheduling, and provided essential operational support in a vibrant academic environment. Prior to that, she worked for over 16 years as a Test Center Administrator, overseeing academic and professional examinations while ensuring compliance, confidentiality, and a calm, supportive atmosphere for test-takers.

A graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Arts, Brenda combines her artistic background with her administrative experience to create welcoming, thoughtful spaces. Known for her patience, emotional intelligence, and attention to detail, she is now transitioning toward therapeutic art work, where she aims to use creativity as a tool for healing, encouragement, and personal growth.
