| Biography |
I am a somatic movement teacher drawing from a lifetime of embodied practice as a professional dancer. I trained at conservatory programs in the United States before spending nearly two decades in New York City performing with contemporary dance companies, where I was deeply influenced by movement practices rooted in behavioral science and somatics. This immersion in multiple movement modalities—from classical and contemporary dance; 25+ years of yoga including Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Vinyasa techniques; to somatics including Klein Technique, Laban/Bartenieff fundamentals, and Pilates. This all informs my teaching today.
Since relocating to the Northwoods of Wisconsin in 2016, I have taught ballet and contemporary dance at the Northwoods School of Dance (2016-2020) and have expanded my teaching to include somatic movement, Pilates-informed core classes, and workshops addressing peri/menopause transitions and embodied wellness. Certified in Trauma Informed Yoga through the Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga program, my work is rooted in the belief that intelligent, compassionate movement can support healing, strength, and ease at every stage of life.
