My name is Kim, and I have been married to my husband for 25 years. We have 4 daughters together, ages 25, 22, 16 and 5! I am a Registered Nurse. I have worked in many areas of nursing. I worked in many different areas including Medicine, Hemodialysis, ICU, Endoscopy. From there, I went into management with Outpatient Surgery, then Inpatient Surgery. I then left the hospital and went into management in the community. I started with Home and Community Care Support Services as a Patient Services Manager. We have since rebranded to Ontario Health at Home and I now have the role of Manager, Patient Care Contracts.

I have enjoyed being a nurse very much, but after many years, I was looking for something different from bedside nursing. It was just not fulfilling to me any longer. That is when I started my management journey. I tried management in a couple areas in the hospital but then needed a change. This was in the thick of the pandemic. I moved on to a management role in the community, however I continue to have the pull to a more holistic approach.

At home I am on a journey of approaching health and wellness in a more holistic way. I try to make as much food as possible from scratch (bread, pasta, baked goods, soups, etc.) I am trying to limit the amount of processed foods my family consumes as much as possible.

We live on a farm and have began our homesteading journey with a large garden of both vegetables and fruit. We began to can pasta sauces and pizza sauce as well as some of our fruit. We are not completely where we want to be, but we have to start somewhere.

With regards to skin care products, I have experimenting with tallow and have made a batch of my own salve and cream with different oils incorporated. I will continue to explore that. The next thing I will try is lip balm. I have everything I need to do that, I just need to schedule that in.

My husband and I also purchased a Spooky 2 Rife Machine. We haven’t learned how to use it yet as we need to purchase a laptop to use the program. That is the next thing on the list to do.

I purchased the bundle for Holistic Health Practitioner, Naturopathy Practitioner and Holistic Nutrition Consultant. I’m really looking forward to starting a new path that allows me to make our home a more natural, chemical free home along with incorporating our Rife machine so I can start helping people get to the root of their health issues and start healing instead of just symptom management.
