I am a certified Activities Director, certified dementia practitioner, certified in Trauma informed care, I teach art classes currently and work part time at the Office on Aging and Senior Center. I have 25 years experience in long term care. 3 years in independent and assisted living and was an elder advocate for the domestic violence shelter where I still volunteer doing Therapeutic art with a therapeutic art life coach certification. I’m a mom of 2 grown Daughters and a wife to my long time love Randy. I have 2 dog babies now Picasso and Poppy Ann. I decided to continue my art career to a more therapeutic approach when a few of my students shared trauma and I seen the huge difference Art classes made in their lives. This course is perfect for me as I’m too old now to return to school full time. I love helping others, painting,writing and spending time boating on the lake. My life is full but I still love to learn new things and this allows me to not only use my creativity but enhance the lives of others as I go doing what I consider my passion Art.
