Summary: Dr. Ma’at Kynes through Sankofa Institute for Wellness promotes health and wellness from a holistic perspective using various strategies including wellness coaching, Red Light Therapy which is effective in assisting the body in healing itself at the cellular level, Alice.ai Therapy which uses plant-based signatures to promote health and wellness, as well as other technologies that use frequencies for wellness and healing. She had 22 years of experience at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) where she served as a Health Scientist and Program Director for the National REACH 2010 Program (Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Health). Dr. Ma’at Kynes taught as an Adjunct Professor at the Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) and served as Coordinator of the International Health Track. While at CDC and MSM she participated on numerous research teams and spoke at international conferences in South Africa, Nigeria, Cameroon, Brazil and many other countries. Most recently she served as the Manager for all education programs for inmates for the DeKalb County Sheriff (County Jail), the topic of her current book soon to be released entitled: Educating the Incarcerated: Facilitating Opportunities for Growth and Understanding.

Awards/Honors: Dr. Ma’at Kynes created the Healthy Haiku Method, which is an Award-winning education program, the distinction of which was bestowed from a Post-Doc Fellowship from Morehouse School of Medicine, Tuskegee University and the University of Alabama, Birmingham. She has published several books in the Healthy Haiku series which has touched the lives of thousands of children, teens and adults.  Dr. Ma’at Kynes was also received numerous awards and honors as the Director of REACH 2010 and in HIV/AIDS Prevention at CDC.
