Biography |
I signed up to take this course today. I have been in the art world most of my life alongside a writing and editorial career. Seeing what others create is my personal high – less dangerous than sky driving but with the same excitement.
I broke two bones in my arm two weeks ago getting off our club’s float. Instead of participating in the “Color Me Christmas,” I was in the hospital being operated on.
It was a great parade as so many of the floats celebrated Edwin Binney – the creator of Crayola Crayons – who lived his final years in our tiny town of Fort Pierce, Florida. Edwin Binney’s creation, his generous nature, and business acumen continue to inspire me to recognize him and all who create a creative world for all.
I, with the Fort Pierce Art Club, had been working to restore Edwin Binney contributions to our town since 2019. To now have the citizens of our county join in on the fun is inspiring, it is still my mission to continue to be like Binney – creative, innovative, supportive and inspiring to others. This something no machine can do. Artists should never be forgotten and supported because we all can from the Creator.
i am hoping that this course will help with my healing, both mentally as well as physically.
