| Biography |
We all face our own unique wellness journey and absorb and refelct our learnings as we grow and adapt. My journey has been multi-faceted, as most are. My professional life has been spent in the pursuit of helping others. I have well over 30 years of experience within the healthcare/alopathic medical realm. Secodarily, I also have almost 2 decades worth of experience in several social work modalities that intertwine the deep love and knowledge that I have with a profound passion for community, wellness and education. But my primary driving force and the light and love from which all of this passion and drive stem, is from my childhood. I had a very tumultuous childhood with parents who struggled to care for themselves, let alone children. There was a lot of guarding, trauma, stunted talents, shame, instability, fear, sadness and confussion. But, the one piece of clarity, the spark of hope and my bright light and consistent example was my Grandmother. She was and will always be the most amazing woman. She showed me love, grace, hope, healing and the importance of a holistic mindset. She was a proud woman of indigenous ancestry and she taught me the value and necessity of herbs, plants, energy, rocks, gems and all the beauty that the earth and universe provides. She began teaching me how to use a holistic approach, to heal and to live, from the time I was about 4 years old. I spent every possible moment with her and she took me for almost every weekend into my adolescence. My desire is to honor her. I want to continue to offer people the opportunity to find their true selves through several modalities in a practice that will offer holistic wellness, education and a path to light.
