About Me

  • Jenny Del Valle was born in Brooklyn, New York on June 19,

1970.

  • Jenny is the daughter of Daniel Del Valle and Norma Santiago

who are from Puerto Rico.

  • Jenny had a younger sibling, Daniel Del Valle, Jr., who was born

in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on May 10, 1973.

  • Daniel enlisted in the armed forces in 2002 and served honorably

for the Air Force. He was deployed to Iraq and was part of

“Operation Iraqi Freedom.”

  • Her brother Daniel suffered trauma and fragmentation injuries

during a bombing that occurred at the base he was stationed. As a

result, he was medically discharge from the Air Force in 2007.

  •   Daniel passed away in Converse, Texas on November 27, 2009.

Jenny grew up in Bayamon, Puerto Rico from September 1970

until August 1980.

  • At the age of 10, Jenny’s father was laid off from his job and her

family had to relocate to Holyoke Massachusetts. She lived there

from 1980 until 1986.

  • She attended and entered 5th grade at Lawrence Elementary

School from September 1980 until June 1983.

  • After graduating from elementary school, Jenny attended Peck

Junior High School in 1983.

  • In 1985, Jenny was 15 years old. She graduated from Peck Junior High School after completing 9th grade.
  • That same year, she entered Holyoke High School. In 1986, Jenny

and her family relocated to Amherst, Massachusetts. She attended

Amherst Regional High and graduated in 1988 at the age of 18.

  • After graduating from high school, Jenny attended Holyoke

Community College. She received an Associates degree in Legal

Office Administration.

  • During her time at HCC, Jenny met her future husband,

Reynaldo Shaver.

  • In 1994, Jenny received an Associates degree in Paralegal Studies

from the Elms College in Chicopee, Massachusetts at the age of

24.

  • In 1995, Jenny and Reynaldo got married at the Captain Charles

Leonard House in Agawam, MA.

  • In 1997, Jenny and her husband Rey, relocated to Fort

Lauderdale, Florida.

  • In 2003, Jenny and her husband Rey became parents to their son

Elijah on July 27, 2003.

  • In 2009. Jenny’s brother Daniel was killed in a pedestrian accident

in Converse, Texas. He was buried at the Puerto Rico National

Cemetery.

  • In 2016, Jenny was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She had two

lumpectomies and radiation treatment. She is a 9-year cancer

survivor.

  • In 2020, Jenny became a Certified TAPS Peer Mentor.
  • In 2022, HandsOn South Florida, a non-profit organization,

selected Jenny to become the Literacy Outreach Manager of their

Literacy League Program.
