Grew up a farm girl in rural Ross County, Ohio – my dad’s son. Competitive athlete in high school as well as a cheerleader, choir, band, and senior class president. Earned an associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and the went on to work full-time while earning a BSN from The Ohio State University. Worked at Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio for 14 years but lost my job to “managed care”. Worked various RN positions in Columbus before moving back home before my oldest daughter started kindergarten. PCC/nursing supervisor at Berger Hospital in Circleville then on to 20 years as a school nurse at my alma mater – Adena Local Schools. Earned School Nurse certification from Wright State University. Worked various positions in the summer including hospice, home care, ER, and LTC. Both my daughters played sports from an early age and club volleyball. My eldest daughter is married with my first granddaughter – Carson. My youngest daughter is a sophomore in college in Colorado. I was fortunate enough to go to Peru the summer of ’22 with both my daughters. It was awesome. I have always been an outdoor person and animal lover. The New River Gorge in West Virginia is my second home whereas I did a lot of white water rafting in my younger years. Also love boating, kayaking, snorkeling, hiking, live music and games. I would love to do more traveling and my kids say that I never know a stranger:)
