Biography
| Biography | I was born on the island of Ikaria in 1975. I spent my first years on various other Aegean islands, and settled later at Athens, where I am still living with my wife and our four children. After finishing school, I initially studied management and tourism, while working at the family business. After a few years (in 2003) I had a serious motorbike accident that nearly cost me my life, and by good fortune and good care I escaped the worst. After almost 1 year in bed, I decided to go into something close to humanity and health, moved by my recent experience. I discovered my inclination to human contact and care, and initially studied Traditional Chinese Medicine at the European Institute of Oriental Medicine. Close to Ilaeira Bouratinos, an exceptionally good healer, trained by successors of great teachers of the healing arts, I learned the principles of holistic alternative medicine, and specialized in Shiatsu. During my years at EIOM, I was also trained in Sotai, moxa, cupping, rejuvance and the principles of nutrition. In the following years, as a health professional but also while engaging in other professions, I started my big family, I researched extensively, and trained in nutrition. Again, that was ignited by my personal challenges with obesity and other ailments. While looking for solutions for problems that no method I was aware of could solve, I discovered sources of knowledge and clinical experience that enabled me to broaden my therapeutic protocols and go deeper into the essence of health and life. Thus, I engaged in naturopathy, natural allopathy, natural cosmetology, homeopathy, herbal medicine, massage, Qi-qong/Tai-ji, quantum biology, and more, like Breathwork techniques, counseling, group therapy, light therapy and water therapy. My practice is generally naturopathic, and hence is based on vitalism and is the integrative kind of medicine. I utilize any therapy system I find relevant to enhance the inherent healing potential of the person who trusts me with supporting their health. I am not a medical doctor, and I DO NOT own degrees or certifications acknowledged by governmental agencies in Greece. I have invested more than a hundred thousand euro in training, but my faith is not about degrees and titles. My faith lies in my deep belief in a healer’s ability to promote and bolster the inherent self-healing potential of a fellow human being. I can surely say I enjoy a dynamically good health, and my goal is to help those around me do the same. My personal life attitude is very positive and hope-filled, and I deeply believe in the inherent dignity and enlightenment of each person. I trust that each and every individual is worthy of respect, and that daily striving for the betterment of life is an immense source of hope and joy.
