Biography
| Biography | Hello! I’m Melissa, wife, mom and business owner. Over that last few years I found myself running on empty, feeling completely out of sync with my own body. I was juggling the motherhood chaos, pushing through work deadlines, and feeling completely blindsided by my body’s hormonal shifts, and honestly, I was burnt out. My calendar was full, but my inner energy tank was running on fumes. For years, I tried to fix it the way we’re all taught: push harder. I tried the fad diets and the exhausting gym routines, but those things just felt like more hustle and weren’t helping me feel any better. After a big family move and starting over in a new city, I slowed down and started reconnecting with myself..body, mind and spirit. I met other women who shared many of my same frustrations with the way we are taught to “be healthy.” That’s when I became a deep dive student of my own health. I was shocked at the lack of knowledge about the female body. Shocked at how little doctors know, despite specialized education! I finally realized my body wasn’t broken; it just needed a gentler, more intentional rhythm—a way to move, eat, and rest that truly honored my whole self. My whole world shifted when I started focusing on harmony instead of hustle. That journey led me here, where I’m working to become a Naturopathic & Holistic Health Practitioner. Building on my 6 years of experience as a Yoga Instructor and 2 years as a Certified Personal Trainer, I created my brand, Soluna Wellness, and I am using my expertise and experience to help other women get to know themselves, body, mind and spirit. Whether I’m designing custom movement plans or creating new goodies for my line of comforting herbal teas and natural body care, my goal is always the same: to ditch the ‘shoulds’ and help other women feel deeply rooted and healthy.
