Biography
Biography | Molly Finnegan As a dedicated and passionate individual with a deep commitment to helping others heal, Molly Finnegan brings a unique blend of lived experience, academic achievement, and professional expertise to the field of holistic health and wellness. With a background spanning trauma-informed care, ministry, and clinical mental health, Molly is on a mission to integrate the mind-body-spirit connection to support individuals in their own healing journeys. Over the past decade, Molly has worked extensively in trauma-informed care and ministry, where the focus has always been on providing compassionate support to those navigating difficult and painful experiences. This work has deeply influenced her approach to holistic health, allowing for a trauma-sensitive and empathetic framework. Molly holds a Bachelor’s degree in Worship Leadership, which helped to build a strong foundation for leadership in ministry, and a Graduate Certificate in Mental Health Studies, which paved the way for further exploration into the intricate relationship between mental and physical well-being. Currently, Molly is nearly complete in earning a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, furthering her ability to integrate psychological knowledge into holistic health practices. This advanced education, combined with personal experience navigating multiple health diagnoses, has shaped a profound understanding of the body’s interconnectedness and the importance of a whole-person approach. Molly has also personally navigated significant challenges on her healing journey, including being a bariatric patient who has battled disordered eating and food addiction. Through hard work and dedication, she has successfully lost 189lbs and continues to heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually. This journey has fueled her desire to help others find freedom from their own struggles with food, body image, and emotional health. Molly believes that true healing requires addressing the deeper, root causes of these challenges, and she is committed to guiding others toward lasting, sustainable change. Having lived with and actively managed chronic health conditions such as Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH), Sympathetic Dominant Dysautonomia, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), and Hashimoto’s Disease, Molly has firsthand experience of the challenges and complexities of navigating both conventional and alternative health systems. This personal experience is a powerful source of empathy, enabling her to approach each client with compassion and an understanding of the diverse paths to healing. Molly’s faith in Christ is central to her life and practice. She believes that holistic approaches to healing—addressing the mind, body, and spirit—are not only effective but also a God-honoring way to seek true freedom. Through her faith, she has come to understand that healing is a deeply spiritual journey and that God’s desire is for us to experience restoration in every area of our lives. For Molly, integrating faith with holistic healing practices creates a path to wholeness, enabling people to step into their fullest potential and live with purpose.
As Molly continues to grow and expand in her holistic health journey, she is committed to blending trauma-informed care with evidence-based clinical practices to help others restore balance, achieve wellness, and heal from within. With a heart for serving others and guided by her faith, Molly aims to provide clients with the tools, resources, and support they need to reclaim their health and well-being—mind, body, and spirit—so they can live the abundant life God intends for them. |
