Biography |
Hi! I’m Rachel, a USAF disabled Veteran with 35+years experience in Legislative Advocacy, Special Education & Social Services. My last position (prior to starting my practice) was as a Behavioral Health Manager – I retired in 2018. Prior to serving the people of my community individually, I was a fire fighter & forester , including but not limited to: reforestation, flood preservation & levee restoration, camp & picnic ground construction. My husband & I have been married over 40-years. We are parents to 2 terrific young men. I have always been in jobs, then careers serving my community – which I consider my calling. I have a degree in Human Services & a degree in Theology with an emphasis on faith-based counseling. I have a masters in Theology with an emphasis on faith, religions & spiritual practices of the world. I had planned to be ordained, but that ended when my Bishop asked a homeless couple I’d invited to leave our service. Of course I no longer celebrate that faith. Our large extended family comes from every continent (except Antarctica). Many of my relatives, including my husband, speak multiple languages, celebrate many faiths, religions & spiritual practices & identify in many ways. But, we all know every person has a right to be their true unique self. I am hoping with these certifications I can guide even more individuals on their path to who they are supposed to be.
