Originally from England and now residing in Kansas with my family. Before I moved to the US, I gained a fine art degree in my early thirties. Exhibited my paintings, and ran some private art classes. Then my life changed with the move to the United States. Life happens along the way, and I continued to make art but not to full capacity like before. I helped run a cabinet painting company with my husband until repetitive strain injury forced me out of the practical side of the business. Well, my GP was firm with me and also I didn’t want to risk losing the ability to paint on canvas or draw etc. I decided to work for a box store garden center as an MST plant service lead which I am still currently doing and love. But I know deep down with the physcial work load this will not always be possible to maintain.

I decided now to do some personal growing. Something I have not done since moving from across the pond. Now it is time to move on and continue with what I feel I should be doing. So I am working through the art therapy course in order to open up avenues of work, and to open up my own art practice. I feel this art therapy course would be a good starter in order to move forward and to work on myself for a bit. Once I have done this I would like to help coach others.
