Biography |
In a nutshell: I’m a retired teacher focusing on creative pursuits. Starting my career in Special Education- I’ve taught elementary through Community College level courses. I loved helping children and adults learn and grow through creative educational methods. I spent my summers traveling (on road trips with my camera and paints).
After retirement, I moved to an old Tennessee farm in the country with my husband. The farm has been a major inspiration in my artwork as my favorite subjects are animals, landscapes, flowers, gardens, and small creatures (such as butterflies, bees, and bus).
Currently, I’m the Creative Art Director for the Art Craft Society which promotes artists through education and creative experiences. I teach beginning and intermediate level resin classes in my barn. Also, I sell my resin art, photographs, and fiber arts at art shows, gift shops, and other venues.
I love continuing to learn new things which not only enrich my life but the lives of others. I’m excited to learn Art Therapy and other practices that will help me and others.
