Born in Tbilisi, Georgia in a traditional Jewish family. Graduated from the Special Music School, double bass class. In 1986,  graduated from the First Moscow Medical School, majoring in general medicine with the qualification of a Doctor of Medicine. After residency in general and vascular surgery at leading Moscow Hospital, since 1989 specialized in clinical endoscopy at the Central Institute of Medical Studies. Since 1995,  has successfully applied laser therapy and surgery in gastroenterology with endoscopic procedures. Since 1997, after emigrating to the United States, he has worked in leading hospitals in Boston  (Brigham and Women’s Hospital, BIDMC, CHA, Cambridge Hospital). At the same time, in 2002,  founded a weight correction clinic WeightLoss Boston Inc, using alternative medicine techniques  and received thousands of positive reviews from grateful patients.
