My relationship with movement began during my adolescence when I discovered dance as a meaningful form of self-expression. At first, I was drawn to its rhythm and creativity, but over time I realized that movement could also express emotions that words often failed to capture. Dance became a space where I could explore my identity, emotions, and personal experiences. Through each movement, I developed a deeper awareness of the connection between my body and mind. I learned that the body holds stories, memories, and emotions that deserve to be acknowledged and expressed. As my experience with movement grew, I became increasingly interested in the expressive power of body language and nonverbal communication. I noticed that movement often revealed feelings that remained hidden during verbal conversations. These observations encouraged me to appreciate movement as more than physical activity but as a meaningful language of human experience. Through my own journey, I experienced how creative expression could foster self-awareness, emotional release, and personal growth. I also witnessed similar transformations in people around me who engaged in creative activities. Seeing these experiences strengthened my belief that creativity has an important role in the healing process. Movement, music, and storytelling provide alternative ways to access emotions that may be difficult to verbalize.
