Biography
| Biography | I was born in 1989 in a small rural farming town in Pennsylvania, where I developed a deep appreciation for nature, hard work, and the simple joys of country life. Some of my favorite childhood memories are gardening alongside my father, picking fresh peas from his garden, and learning firsthand the value of caring for the land. Those experiences sparked a lifelong passion for healthy living, sustainability, and finding joy in the natural world. Growing up, I attended a small local school where I was actively involved in sports, clubs, and extracurricular activities, including Future Farmers of America (FFA). One of the most life-changing experiences of my youth was becoming a foreign exchange student in India. Living abroad opened my eyes to new cultures and introduced me to natural medicine, yoga, meditation, and holistic wellness. That experience continues to shape both my personal life and my approach to education. My educational journey has been guided by both creativity and a desire to serve others. I first studied Interior Design before discovering my passion for teaching and child development. I later earned my 200-hour yoga teacher certification through Breath For Change, where I learned to integrate mindfulness, movement, and social-emotional learning into educational settings. I then completed my Master of Education in Early Childhood Education at Grand Canyon University, allowing me to combine my love of teaching with my commitment to helping children thrive. As an educator, I believe every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and inspired. I strive to create engaging, nurturing learning environments where curiosity, creativity, kindness, and confidence can flourish. I enjoy incorporating movement, mindfulness, and hands-on experiences into my teaching because I believe children learn best when they are actively engaged and emotionally supported. Outside of the classroom, my greatest joy is my family. My husband and I are raising our two incredible children—a beautiful daughter and an amazing son—on our little homestead, lovingly named Pip and Goose Farm after them. Our farm is home to chickens, rabbits, a thriving raised-bed garden, and a growing Christmas tree farm. Life on the farm gives us countless opportunities to learn together, care for animals, grow our own food, and appreciate the beauty of each season. Whether I’m teaching, practicing yoga, tending the garden, or spending time with my family, I am passionate about living a life rooted in learning, wellness, gratitude, and meaningful connection. I hope to inspire children and families to embrace curiosity, appreciate nature, and discover the joy that comes from lifelong learning. |
