I think I learned to talk so that I could describe to others the exact vibrancy of color, feeling and texture that my eyes drank whole.

I was born and raised in rural northern Michigan where fields, farmland, forests and long winters nurtured my soul.
From there I became a foreigner in Nicaragua and learned to love and struggle to survive in all new ways. Next came a young marriage and raising my precious two.

Today you will find me in Chattanooga, Tn. A place that has been very good to me, where rocks are breathtaking and lazily hiked Mountain View’s are plenty. My two incredible kids are half grown now and I’m working while they are schooling. I’ve never stopped needing to express the vibrancy and depth of color and feeling. And all this time I’ve dared with brush in hand to try and speak in a language of every human. What a gift to reach back over 13 years and pick up a class I meant to take all that time ago and become certified in Art Therapy.
