It’s only taken half a century for me to learn that I was not functioning very well as a human being. I’m now 3 years sober.
Like many people, i fell into the habit of pretending everything was ‘going really well’ until everything fell apart and I’d ruined everything and hurt everyone I ever cared about.
It could have been anything but alcohol misuse becomes very visible at some point.
For this I feel very fortunate. Worst case scenario would be to have carried on pretending forever.
Some recent diagnoses make a lot of sense and in the end it was kinda art therapy in rehab that tipped me over into this, less delusional, more honest, better….self? Version? The food sheath I’m currently riding around in is a better human than before.
I now work at trying to help other humans like myself who have lost their way, which I am accidentally qualified to do! It’s the only thing I’ve ever done that makes sense…. Cosmically 🤷🏼♂️
anyways….. what were we talking about? Ooh art therapy. Yes please. Still so much to learn 🙏🏻🙂↕️
